MAYBE IT IS JUST RAGE

Sometimes My Mind Wanders and I Find Questioning Myself…

Is What We Refer to As Depression Possibly Repressed Anger???

My Darling, You’re Not Depressed, You’re Just Sad…

You’re Angry and Have for The Longest Time Been Bottling That Anger…

But It Doesn’t Stay Bottled Does It?

You’re Angry at Your Ex for Turning Love into a River of Hopelessness,

You’re Angry at Your Parents for Making You Feel Unseen and Unheard,

You’re Angry at Your Siblings for Making You Feel Resented and Tormented,

You’re Angry at Your Friends for Making You Feel Neglected and Forsaken,

You’re Angry at Yourself for All the Times You Stayed Silent and Shrunk.

You’re Angry at The World for Being Vicious and Distant,

But Instead of Screaming…You Collapsed

Instead Of Expressing…You Imploded

You Didn’t Allow Rage to Rise…So It Sank.

And Now It Sits in Your Bones and Disguises Itself as Sadness

You’re Not Broken,

You’re Boiling,

Silently,

Slowly,

Dangerously.

That Heaviness on Your Chest?

That Numbness?

That Tiredness?

It’s The Weight of Unspoken Fire.

So, Angel, If You Don’t Let It Out in Healthy Ways,

It Will Devour You Alive from The Inside and Haunt You to The End of Eternity,

Because The Truth Is…

Most of Us Weren’t Allowed to Be Angry,

We Were Taught to Be “Soft”” Understanding” “Nice”

We Were Taught to Dim Our Light and Hide Our Voice,

We Were Told Shrinking Ourselves Would Make Us More Loveable

So, We Held It In, Until Our Souls Started Rotting from Suppressed Emotions.

Depression Is Sometimes Rage That Just Gave Up.

Remember;

Love Isn’t Proven by Words…

It’s Proven by Who Stays After the Words Lose Their Shine.
