I know breathing without me is like breathing through broken glass,

I know the painting you’ve been drawing in your head,

I’m sorry I will not be there to help you through it!

I know I flew off with the wings of your heart and left you flightless,

I know you might cut somebody else’s heart with your shattered pieces,

I know someday you’ll look back at this as a sweet time of grieving,

I’m sorry I will not be there to guide you through it!
