FINALLY

I lay still, wondering if it was finally time,

For so long people have pushed me around,

For so long people have trampled on my dreams,

For so long people have pushed me to the edge,

For so long I have been almost at a breaking point,

For so long I have been lost in a never-ending maze,

For so long I could no longer hear my inner voice,

For so long I had not put myself first,

For so long I never let the tears flow,

For so long I never gave myself a chance,

For so long, I never believed in myself,

For so long I remained silent.

It was finally time to embrace who I was. It was time to break free from the expectations and clutches of others and finally “BE ME.” I had pretended for way too long. I was ready to claim back my life and my destiny.

From the ashes of despair, I was ready to reignite my lost soul and finally be who I wanted to be. I was prepared to rattle the cage and face any consequences that came my way.

FINALLY, IT WAS TIME!!!
