A TORN HEART

I Believed in The Sunlight in Your Eyes,

I Believed in The Moonlight in Your Smile,

When I Hugged You Nothing Else Mattered Because It Felt Like I Was Floating…

When I Kissed You, I Felt Safe, Like Nothing Could Hurt Me…

We Started Out as A Matchstick and Eventually Became A Bonfire…

Now…

When I Look at You, I Go Dry Like Sand…

I Walk on Shadows,

I Crawl on Egg Shells,

Blood Tears Run Down My Chubby Cheeks,

I Set You Free…

Hoping You’d Fly Back and Trade Your Freedom…

For A Solid Place in A Liquid World,

But You Destroyed the Bridge That Held Us Together…

And Our Love Was Lost Forever.

Your Soft Whispers Of “I’ll Be There for You” Linger in My Memories,

The Scent of Your Neck…

The Tenderness of Your Touch…

Are Now Fragments of Broken Promises,

Lodged Deep in My Soul…

Tearing Me from The Inside Out.

You Broke Me…

You Left Me Shivering in The Cold,

Battling an Empty Void in My Chest,

The Wind Blew and Left My Heart Empty,

You Took Everything for Granted…

Now I Have to Heal My Heart Ache…

From the Pain You’ve Brought My Way,

And Stop the Tears from Falling.

Remember;

Sometimes Good Things Fall Apart So Better Things Can Fall Together.
